The new "Humor" Schnappschuss is here!
The new Schnappschuss has arrived and is now available for you in the store and will be included in your packages from mid-August.
If you are already familiar with Schnappschuss magazine, you may know that we look for a special theme for each issue. Or rather, a term that is then examined from all sides and addressed in a variety of ways. So we pondered this time too. I thought about it out loud at home too, until my girlfriend finally said: "Why don't you do something funny?" "Hm, why not?" I pondered. After all, the news over the last few months and years hasn't always been too good, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to cheer things up. Internally, the suggestion was also met with enthusiasm. So the course was set for the new "Humor" issue. You can now hold the result in your hands (or take a look at it online). The great thing about humor is that there are many facets, because everyone finds something different funny. Even if not every contribution meets all tastes, we think that there is something here for everyone. "Laughter is the best medicine" is not just a saying, it is scientifically proven. Only recently, the University of Jena published a study that confirmed the effects of laughter therapy. Positive effects on physical and mental health were found. It is therefore hardly surprising that laughter has been an integral part of humanity for thousands of years. The oldest known joke dates from around 4,000 years ago. With the term "humor", photography also impressively demonstrates how versatile it can be and how much potential it holds. Be it through everyday situations such as in Tavepong Pratoomwong's street photography, in the portrait photography of Andy Gotts or the surreal worlds of ideas of Matthias Schwaighofer and Ingo Lindmeier, who bring their visions to life.
