Versatile standard focal length with very high speed
This standard focal length is suitable for many areas of application: For portraits to product and detail photography to street and landscape photography, the Lens is ideally suited. The very high speed of F1.4 gives you the possibility to work with short exposure times and without flash even in low light conditions, for example at weddings, in buildings of all kinds or at dusk. Even if you still want to capture the city lights at night, you can achieve short exposure times thanks to the large open aperture. The subject is rendered crisp and in the highest detail. The Lens fits all Sony mirrorless cameras, whether full-frame or APS-C sensor.
Smaller and lighter - always with you
With a weight of only 492 g and a length of 8.9 cm, the Lens is significantly smaller and lighter than its predecessor. It is one of the most compact AF 50mm Lenses ever for mirrorless Sony cameras. This makes it the ideal standard lens to always have with you.
Excellent imaging performance - even at open aperture
The use of the highest quality Lenses - 11 elements in 8 groups - and the use of 6 special lenses (2x ASP, 3x HR and 1x ED) gives you outstanding sharpness performance. Samyang UMC coating effectively reduces flares and ghosting. The Samyang AF 50mm F1.4 MK2 Sony E delivers outstanding image results even at F1.4 open aperture, topping its predecessor.
Impressive background blur - beautiful bokeh
The fast F1.4 open aperture allows you to crop the main subject from the background, ideal for portrait photography, for example. The 9 aperture blades ensure a pleasant and natural bokeh.
Fast, quiet autofocus - reduced "focus pumping"
With a noise level of just 26.78 dB, the Lens makes virtually no audible noise, making it ideal for use in filming. It is thus significantly quieter than its predecessor (45.90 dB). The linear stepper motor (LSTM) guides the focus quickly and precisely as usual. The notorious "focus pumping" does not occur, and the image section hardly changes at all during focusing. Ideal conditions not only for photo, but also for video recordings.
Freely assignable custom switch, separate focus hold button
The custom switch known from Samyang is also built into this Lens. For example, the aperture control and manual focus via the forkus ring are assigned to the two switch positions ex works. The Focus Hold button stores the focus setting, and can perform other tasks depending on the camera model. The Custom Switch can be assigned various functions via the Lens Station, which can be purchased separately.
