  • Broadcast-quality wireless UHF lavalier microphone system with a portable, two-channel mountable, handheld receiver that you can expand with a second transmitter
  • Easy to use and works via plug-and-play operation
  • Built-in headphone output so you can always hear the sound - even if your camera doesn't have a headphone jack
  • Robust all-metal construction with easy-to-read, backlit LCD displays
  • With a range of up to 100 meters and auto-scan function, the best channels are found for you The infrared can be easily synchronized

The TX9 and RX9 from Saramonic are a transmitter and receiver combination from the UwMic9 system. The TX9 transmitter and the two-channel RX9 receiver are easy to connect to each other using the built-in infrared module, via an automatic scan or manually. A lavalier microphone, also known as a clip-on microphone, is supplied with the TX9. The microphone can be easily attached to the tie or shirt of the person being interviewed using the robust clip. The associated TX9 transmitter can be attached to the trouser pocket using one of the two mounting brackets supplied. This allows the person to move around freely without the interference of a cable running to the camera.

You can place the RX9 receiver on the hotshoe connection of your camera using the supplied adapter and mounting bracket. The adapter has a ¼" female thread, allowing you to attach the RX9 receiver to a tripod or camera cage. Then connect the RX9 to your camera using one of the supplied cables. The scope of delivery includes both a male 3.5mm cable and a male XLR cable. This makes the UwMic9 system suitable for almost any (professional) camera. Think of DSLR cameras, camcorders, audio mixers and professional ENG cameras.

Professional quality
The UwMic9 system stands for crystal-clear sound and consists of reliable equipment. When you take the transmitter and receiver out of the packaging, they immediately feel solid. A robust body, good hardware and detailed workmanship make for a high-quality product.

Use
In practice, you can use the TX9 and RX9 in a variety of ways. Here is an example: You want to record an interview with your DSLR camera. Connect the RX9 receiver to the hotshoe of your DSLR camera using the adapter. Then connect headphones to the 'Phone' socket of the RX9. Give the person you want to interview the TX9 transmitter and the corresponding lapel microphone. The interview can now take place while you can hear live via the headphones whether the sound reaches the receiver without interference. If necessary, an extra microphone can be connected, see below.

UwMic9 extension
The RX9 receiver in this set can process two input signals simultaneously. Various transmitters are available in the UwMic9 range. These include an HU9 handheld microphone (see "optional accessories"), an extra TX9 transmitter and an XLR9 transmitter (these two options are available to order). Both channels can be set independently of each other. More information can be found in the "Technical specifications" section.

Difference to UwMic10
The Saramonic UwMic10 and UwMic9 are functionally and fundamentally identical. The only difference is the range of frequencies on which the systems run. The UwMic10 uses the frequencies 614 MHz - 696 MHz and the UwMic9 uses 514 MHz - 596 MHz instead.

Technical specifications
The TX9 transmitter and RX9 receiver can both be set to 96 channels. Select the desired channel by pressing the arrow buttons. Alternatively, you can automatically link the TX9 and RX9 in the user-friendly menu. It is also possible to select a channel (A or B) and switch both channels on and off individually on the receiver. The output volume can be set for each channel. You can also set the receiver to 'lock' in the menu so that the transmitter cannot be switched off accidentally. Finally, you can select the mono and stereo options. If you are working with one microphone, we recommend setting the receiver to mono. If you are using two microphones, it is best to select stereo. In this case, the sound from the microphone is recorded on two separate channels (A and B/left and right) in your camera, which means that the sound can be easily separated and balanced during editing.

Various settings are also possible with the TX9 transmitter. These include locking, muting and the RF function. The latter can be set to low (10mW), medium (20mW) and high (30mW).
