Automatic reversing adapter for the Sony FE mount system
The new NEX-RETRO reversing adapter provides owners of Sony FE mount cameras with an uncomplicated and versatile introduction to the fascinating world of macro photography. The reversing adapter is suitable for all fixed focal lengths and zoom lenses for both full-frame and APS-C Lens. The reversing adapter is supplied from the factory with a 58 mm filter thread. NOVOFLEX offers suitable reduction rings as accessories for Lens with a different filter diameter. The NEX-RETRO also transfers all control functions between the camera and lens, such as aperture control and EXIF data.

Image quality is a decisive factor.
At reproduction scales above 1:1, many lenses achieve significantly better image quality in the retro position compared to normal use. For example, when used directly on the camera with the 18-105 mm zoom lens in the retro position, an image scale of 2:1 is achieved at a focal length setting of 45 mm. Even larger image scales are possible with the help of bellows. For example, with a 35 mm wide-angle fixed focal length in conjunction with a BALPRO 1, an image scale of 6:1 can be achieved with the bellows fully extended. In addition, the universal bellows of the BALPRO and CASTBAL series in combination with the NEX-RETRO become automatic bellows with full transmission for the Sony FE mount system.
