  • Binoculars
  • ED Lens deliver an outstanding image that is virtually free of chromatic aberration - with accurate color fidelity and increased resolution and contrast
  • Fully multi-coated optics for maximum light transmission
  • BaK-4 prisms with highly reflective phase contrast coating for vivid, unadulterated colors
  • Large field of view and 2.5 m close focus
  • Tripod mount

The 10x42 TrailSeeker ED binoculars deliver the highest level of performance for nature observation - they are the perfect choice for discerning birdwatchers, hunters and nature lovers. Each TrailSeeker ED offers optical, mechanical and ergonomic features comparable to binoculars two to five times more expensive.

ED objective lenses
Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) glass, i.e. glass with particularly low dispersion, virtually eliminates the color fringing of normal Lens lenses. These color fringes in the image are a widespread imaging error of many binoculars. A TrailSeeker ED has a sharp image from one edge to the other, with excellent color fidelity and maximum sharpness.

Not all ED glass is the same. The high-quality ED glass that Celestron uses delivers visibly brighter and sharper images than binoculars without ED glass. The difference is particularly noticeable in low light conditions such as twilight.

Coating and prisms
TrailSeeker ED binoculars have fully multi-coated optics as well as phase and dielectric coated BaK-4 prisms. Binoculars can be described as fully multi-coated if each glass-air surface is coated with several layers of anti-reflective coatings so that as little light as possible is lost on its way through the glass to the eye.

The prisms of the TrailSeeker ED are made from high quality BaK-4 glass and are both phase contrast and dielectric coated so that more light is directed from the prism to the eye. Together, the full multi-coating and BaK-4 prisms maximize light transmission and enable a very bright, detailed image.

The body
The TrailSeeker ED body is made from a lightweight and robust magnesium alloy. Its stable, rigid body has a non-slip rubber armor that protects it even when used in rough terrain. More importantly, the binoculars are waterproof and filled with dry nitrogen gas to prevent the lenses inside from fogging up. A TrailSeeeker ED can withstand even the harshest environmental conditions.

Viewing is just as comfortable with glasses as without, thanks to the sturdy eyecups that can be adjusted by turning. Multiple locking points allow you to set the perfect eye relief.

Perfect for many applications
The TrailSeeker ED 10x42 offers a close focus of around 2.5m and is therefore ideal for observing birds, butterflies, plants or other close objects. The 10x magnification offers that little bit more magnification to make out details even on distant targets. The large field of view makes it easy to find and track even fast targets. No matter what you want to observe: These versatile binoculars are an excellent all-round device!

Comfortable observation
The TrailSeeker ED comes with both a neck strap and a chest strap, so you can choose the method that suits you best. It also has a tripod mount so you can place it on a tripod for longer observations or digiscoping. (A 90° tripod adapter is available separately). The scope of delivery also includes a soft carrying case in which you can store it.
