  • Universal 3-axis smartphone adapter
  • NexYZ connects your smartphone to your telescope, spotting scope, binoculars, monocular or microscope so you can capture images and videos through the eyepiece
  • compatible with almost all cell phone models
  • Maximum width: 92 mm
  • Maximum distance of the camera to the bottom of the smartphone: 160 mm
  • incl. accessories and heavy-duty clamp for all eyepiece types

Important unique selling point:
the self-locking movement in the Z-axis (height adjustment of the SmartPhone above the eyepiece ) enables instant adjustment of the ideal image section - with most adapters, the distance of the camera to the eyepiece cannot be adjusted.

Other product features:
Unlike other digiscoping adapters, NexYZ has three metal rack and pinion drives on all three X,Y and Z movement directions, for lightning-fast, precise adjustment of the optical axes of the eyepiece and camera.
NexYZ withstands tough field use thanks to its rugged, durable construction with metal frame and plastic body

NexYZ Universal 3-Axis Smartphone Adapter
The NexYZ smartphone adapter for digiscoping fits all eyepieces from 35 mm to 60 mm in diameter without an adapter. You can use it on telescopes with 1.25 and 2 inch eyepieces as well as on spotting scopes, monoculars and binoculars. With the two included adapter rings, you can also use NexYZ on slimmer eyepieces down to 25 mm in diameter, such as those used on microscopes. The flexible adapter reduces the usable eyepiece diameter down to 25 mm, the size of a standard microscope eyepiece. A strong spring and threaded twist lock provide a two-stage, secure hold on the optical instrument eyepiece so the camera holds securely.

NexYZ is compatible with a wide range of smartphones, up to 92mm wide. The phone platform is fully adjustable to fit any device - usually even when the smartphone is in a protective case. Even even larger "phablets" like the iPhone 8 Plus and the latest Samsung Galaxy devices work perfectly, the distance from the camera to the bottom of the smartphone can be up to 160mm. The secure platform can withstand the weight of these heavy devices with ease.

If multiple people ever want to shoot through your optics, NexYZ's simple spring clamps allow you to remove one device and replace it with another in seconds. NexYZ is the ideal solution for star parties or joint bird watching where everyone wants their own picture of the action.

Easy as X-Y-Z
What sets NexYZ apart from other smartphone adapters? The three-axis adjustment! Most adapters rely on you placing your phone perfectly on the platform and offer only limited adjustment in two axes: the camera can usually be placed on the optical axis of the eyepiece, but the distance to the eyepiece is fixed: either the adapter is only placed on the eyepiece, or it only fits a specific eyepiece. In neither case can the distance be adjusted, which determines illumination and field of view. The Celestron NexYZ gives you the ability to place your phone on the platform, center it over the eyepiece with the X and Y knobs, and then still adjust the distance to the eyepiece until you have the full field of view in your shot.

And while this adjustment is ultra-precise, it's still faster and easier than other adapters. From start to finish, the process only takes about 30 seconds, including the time it takes to insert the phone into NexYZ, attach NexYZ to an eyepiece, launch the camera app, and center the camera with the knobs above the eyepiece. If you change smartphones, eyepieces or optical instruments, you only need to make minor adjustments to re-center the camera over the new eyepiece.

You can also switch your image from portrait to landscape by simply rotating the padded eyepiece clamp and readjusting the X, Y and Z axes to align your phone with the eyepiece.

NOTE:
NexYZ fits telescopes, spotting scopes, binoculars, monoculars and microscopes. It does not fit riflescopes. NexYZ works with most smartphone cases, but if you have an extra large case with built-in batteries or a folio body, Celestron recommends removing it for best use.
